Tanya Tagaq: Tuusalangna
. The Nunavut-born Tanya Tagaq is a true original. She combines Inuit throat singing with orchestral and contemporary influences, creating a primal and ­dynamic sound that is all her own. Guests will include other inuit artists such as Kaiva and the inuit circus Artcirq.

Start of the Yukon Quest Dog Sled International. A 1 000 mile race taking the mushers and their dog teams to Whitehorse (Yukon). The race takes about 2 weeks.

Later in the day will be the start of the Yukon Quest 300, a 300 mile race for mushers interested in living a portion of the Yukon Quest.
