Tanya Tagaq: Tuusalangna. The Nunavut-born Tanya Tagaq is a true original. She combines Inuit throat singing with orchestral and contemporary influences, creating a primal and dynamic sound that is all her own. Guests will include other inuit artists such as Kaiva and the inuit circus Artcirq.

Start of the Yukon Quest Dog Sled International. A 1 000 mile race taking the mushers and their dog teams to Whitehorse (Yukon). The race takes about 2 weeks.
Later in the day will be the start of the Yukon Quest 300, a 300 mile race for mushers interested in living a portion of the Yukon Quest.
