Riding Mountain National Park

Hiking on the Gorge Creek trail along the Manitoba Escarpment, observing the herd of bisons, admiring Lake Audy, biking and walking on the paths surrounding Wasagaming Lake and Clear Lake are a few of the activities that kept us busy during our two-day stay in the Riding Mountain National Park. Located at the junction of three ecosystems: the boreal forest, the plateaus and the grasslands of Manitoba, the UNESCO recognized the importance of this park by naming it a Biosphere Reserve.
